When I try to open the GlobalDatabese with Multi-Language Add-In the Chinese characters aren't shown. With another pc with MS Access the Chinese characters are correctly shown. But It's necessary install MS Access?? Thank You LUCA
Posted by Phil on Wed 15 of Oct, 2008 18:57 GMT Hi Luca, you don't need MS Access. I think that this is a configuration problem under Windows. Take a look at the regional settings on your PC. In the middle tab, "Languages", there is an option "Install files for East Asian languages". Is this option selected? There is a screenshot at http://www.chinese-tools.com/resources/windows-xp.html. If it is not selected, then try selecting it, but I wouldn't be surprised if you need to have your original Windows CD handy. Phil
